Nutri-Vet Alaskan Salmon Oil for Dogs

Nutri-Vet Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil Drip Less Odor Less for Dogs provides levels of both omega-3 and -6 essential fatty acids (EFAs) not commonly found in pet foods. This pure oil is made only from wild, non-farmed Alaskan salmon and stabilized with natural anti-oxidants to maintain its fatty acid content and taste. Food-grade, inert silica is added to help reduce drip and odor. Directions for Use: One (1) pump per 10 lbs of body weight daily. One pump is equal to approximately 4 ml or 1/2 teaspoon. Guaranteed Analysis per Teaspoon (2 pumps): Crude Fat – 99% Moisture (max) – 0.5% Omega-3 Fatty Acids – 1456 mg DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) – 546 mg EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) – 546 mg Omega-6 Fatty Acids – 136 mg Inactive ingredients: Salmon Oil, Rosemary Extract, Silicon Dioxide. Omega-3 fatty acids such as DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) and EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) help reduce inflammatory skin reactions in dogs. These two important fatty acids are found in high levels in fish oil. Only omega-3 fatty acids in fish oil have been shown to reduce inflammation.Omega-6 fatty acids, including linioleic acid, help maintain the epidermal water barrier function of the skin. This may explain why instances of dry, dull hair coat and scaling, non-pruritic skin disorders in dogs generally respond to the addition of vegetable oils to the diet. Silicon Dioxide is a common ingredient in the production of foods. Think of it as table salt, which is a mixture of sodium and iodine and trace amounts of chlorine. As far as I can tell, the product does have reduced smelliness and does a fine job of not being watery.
